Course description
If you want to meet the entry requirements of professional accounting bodies including CPA (Certified Practicing Accountants) Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, then this accounting degree is for you. The Master of Professional Accounting will teach you how to analyse, research and make informed recommendations about a broad range of accounting problems and issues.
You will learn essential accounting principles, practices and techniques and be able to apply them to a variety of situations including:
- auditing
- financial reporting
- internal controls
- finance and management accounting.
Master of Professional Accounting graduates will also appreciate the ethical, legal and professional dynamics of accounting and the accounting profession.
The Master of Professional Accounting articulates into the Master of Professional Accounting / Master of Business Administration dual degree. The Master of Professional Accounting (Advanced) is a two-year program for students wanting to include a research component in their degree.

Entry requirements
Applicants must have an overall academic IELTSof 6.5 (with an individual score of 6.0 for all tests) as well as the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor degree in any discipline or a Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting. Applicants without a Bachelor degree but with two years professional experience in management/leadership positions may apply for the Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting.
